In our Academy, you can also go through the training program and pass an exam to obtain an ATP license (airline pilot) required to perform the functions of the commander of an aircraft. Most of US part 121 / part 135 carriers require the ATP license for the employment. Similar requirements are found in legislation or internal documents of the airlines in other countries. If your dream is to fly Airbus 320 or Boeing 737 you will need this very license to become the aircraft commander.
After passing the written test, the candidate may choose the method of getting ATP license.
US Federal Aviation Regulations allow to have the Pilot Airline License Type-rating on a particular type of aircraft. This option is suitable for most pilots, who have more than 1,500 flight hours and do not claim to work on a particular aircraft type or the candidates who have not yet decided which type of the aircraft to continue their career. The same thing is with co-pilots.
Most of the charter operators with aircraft less than 12,500 pounds do not require a Type-rating on a particular type.
In this very case, we offer a short training program on the aircraft Beechcraft Duchess BE-76 or Technam P2006T, in the amount of 7-10 flight hours and the ground classes necessary to become familiar with this type of aircraft and to prepare for the checkride.
The examination passes on the same plane, and after that the candidate receives a certificate of US ATP with a tolerance on multi-engine land plane without specifying the type (ATP mutli-engine land).
In case if the candidate exactly knows what type of aircraft he will continue his career, the combination of ATP checkride and obtaining admission to a particular type of aircraft is possible. Our partners, the ATP.Academy offers training for Airbus 320, the most popular passenger planes now.
After completion of the training program and the exam the candidate gets the Airline Transport Pilot License indicating the Type Rating for the selected aircraft type.
This option of ATP exam without type permits to save a substantial amount of money, thus giving a opportunity to open new doors of the most charter companies and large operators, which in most cases carry out such trainings for one’s own account.
If you are not sure on what type of aircraft you are planning to fly in the future, our ATP-program is for you!
